Nellie Stoeckel Joins Freeborn’s Chicago Office as Associate in Litigation and Intellectual Property Practice Groups

CHICAGO –  Freeborn & Peters LLP is pleased to announce that Nellie Stoeckel has joined the firm’s Chicago office as an associate in the Litigation and Intellectual Property Practice Groups.

Prior to joining Freeborn, Ms. Stoeckel was an IP/Litigation Paralegal at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP with a focus on patent litigation. Her early career concentrated in commercial litigation and multi-district products liability cases. Stoeckel has significant case and trial management experience in both state and federal courts including large-scale discovery for complex cases, fact research and analysis, client interviews, trial team supervision, and on-site, courtroom supervision. She has also appeared before Chicago municipal judges on behalf of clients.

Stoeckel received her Juris Doctor from the UIC John Marshall Law School and her Bachelor of Arts from DePaul University. She is licensed in the state of Illinois, and is a member of the Chicago and Illinois Bar Associations. Ms. Stoeckel has regularly donated time to pro bono matters, advocating on behalf of the indigent and disadvantaged as a volunteer for the Chicago Legal Services Clinic and the National Immigrant Justice Center.
