Freeborn was a “Hole In One” sponsor of the 3rd Annual Rebuilding Together*Metro Chicago Golf Classic, which was held on July 28, 2009 at the Harborside International Golf Center in Chicago. Kathryn C. Thomas, a Partner in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group and co-chair of the firm’s Diversity Committee, was a member of this years’ Golf Classic Committee. Ms. Thomas has served for the past 15 years on the Board of Directors of Rebuilding Together*Metro Chicago and is currently the Vice President – National Liaison.
Rebuilding Together*Metro Chicago focuses on improving the homes and neighborhoods of elderly, disabled and low-income residents so they can continue to live in warmth, safety and comfort. Within the past year, the organization has worked with more than 3,500 volunteers to repair 80 homes, 15 community agencies and schools and has completed one landscaping project.
